Body language

Sometimes I think about how you’ve changed.

How when we’d talk your body language was all closed off, curled up on yourself.
Hesitant.

But there was that incremental change. We talk and you get settled in, the comfort and ease of talking even extending to your body.

Stretched out like a cat on your bed, the little wiggles as you find the perfect spot.

Its these little things that captivate me.

The sleepy tone to your voice when you’re lying down.
Each vowel stretched just a little.
How just the right corner of your lips perk up in a smile from my voice.
Not enough to be a smirk. Like a smile struggling against your sleep to break free.

I’d kill for that to be the last thing to pass my eyes before falling asleep.
